Understanding the Whole Person – NOT just the diagnosis.
The IWBMC Evaluation™ can be conducted either remotely or at our flagship campus, Jacob’s Ladder, located in Roswell, Georgia. This evaluation is essential for developing a comprehensive care plan for individuals facing neurological and behavioral challenges. Spanning several hours, it encompasses the following components:
-
An assessment of the client’s medical, educational, and therapeutic history
-
A family interview to gain insights into daily activities, challenges, and aspirations for the client
-
Over 1,000 neurodevelopmental metrics
-
Academic testing
-
A non-invasive qEEG scan
-
A physiological health consultation to create a personalized nutrition plan

What Does the IWBMC Evaluation™ Look Like?
The IWBMC evaluation™ takes place in a welcoming and supportive environment that ensures clients feel at ease and engaged. It includes both clinical observation and hands-on testing, with each assessment carefully adapted to meet the individual’s specific abilities and needs. Activities may range from movement exercises and tabletop tasks to computer-based interactions. Additionally, a thorough family interview plays a key role in understanding the client's strengths and challenges, allowing for a truly holistic approach to care.
This evaluation offers a detailed overview of the client’s needs, which is essential in crafting a personalized program. This program includes in-home support strategies as well as therapeutic and academic recommendations. Families will receive a Client Findings Report, complete with qEEG results and suggested next steps, all neatly compiled into a booklet for easy reference.

Utilizing the IWBMC to Develop Tailored Client Programs
The findings from the evaluation form the foundation of each individualized program, which is designed to help develop neural pathways that enhance communication and brain connectivity. The IWBMC evaluation™ is conducted using a digital platform called AHAVA, which pinpoints the client’s key areas of focus. Based on these insights, a tailored plan is created with over 100 activities and strategies, addressing areas of challenge while building upon the client’s strengths.

What is the qEEG?
The qEEG (Quantitative Electroencephalogram), an advanced extension of traditional EEG technology, measures the brain's electrical activity and converts it into a visual representation. This visualization highlights areas of the brain exhibiting either excessive or insufficient electrical activity by comparing the data to a normative database that takes into account factors such as age, gender and handedness. The qEEG offers precise metrics on power, communication, balance, and firing speed within the Brodmann areas, which are specific regions of the brain. It analyzes brain wave frequencies across delta, theta, alpha, beta, and high beta waves.
The qEEG enhances the IWBMC evaluation™ by correlating the brain's internal state with an individual’s external functioning. Excessive or insufficient electrical activity can significantly affect a person’s ability to engage with their environment. This integration of qEEG with developmental assessments highlights the holistic approach of the interpersonal whole-brain model of care, combining functional metrics and clinical diagnostic tools into a comprehensive evaluation of neurological development. Additionally, comparative qEEG analyses are crucial for ongoing reevaluation, as changes in brain frequencies and connectivity can reflect functional improvements from therapeutic interventions.
